Our Mission Statement:
We, the Parishioners of Sangre de Cristo, are a Roman Catholic Community, inspired by the Holy Spirit, united by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and guided by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Church. We willingly accept our mutual responsibility to carry out our true mission, doing the Will of God, thus living our faith as heirs in the hope of Eternal Life.
Sangre De Cristo means "Blood of Christ." Join us for Mass!
All are invited to come and Worship the Lord and Serve His People!
Jesus is with us and He will NEVER leave us!
We welcome all families to register with our Parish and to celebrate the Paschal Mystery. Join us for worship and Adore Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! Jesus gives us His Body and Blood to consume and have life in abundance [cf John 10:10]. As it is written in the Synoptic Gospels, "Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took a cup, gave thanks and gave it them saying," Drink from it all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins." [Matthew 26:26-28].
Jesus asks us to eat of His Body and drink of His Blood, for as we do, we partake in the Holiest Matrimony there is! He gives us His Body, and we give Him ourselves, uniting Heaven and Earth. As the priest speaks the Word of the Lord, the Holy Spirit comes down upon the Altar of the Lord, and transubstantiates (transforms) the host and the wine into the actual Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Bridegroom, and we, as the Church, is His Beloved Bride!
All in Heaven REJOICE as we say, "YES!" to the Glorious Call of the Lord, to receive Him in the Holy Eucharist. Welcome to this great Feast!
